Rabbosai, we have a sponsor here... Does anyone want to take up the challenge?

If yes, please answer the following questions:

1) How many days you've been clean (at least 3, but no more than 30),

2) A brief summary of your recent status (successes and failures),

3) Whether you have an Internet filter without access to the password,

4) Your pledge to post honest reports of your status at least twice weekly on "Wall of Honor" section of the forum.

5) Your game plan for making it to 90 days without falling (you need one - otherwise, GYE stands to lose out on the $90!).
There is a HUGE difference between our subconscious and our conscious. What you do in your dreams is in NO way indicative of what you would do when conscious, because when we are asleep our logic is turned off, and our ability to calculate the consequences of our actions is turned off. We are NOT responsible for our dreams.

The Zohar says that there are demons that come to a person at night and get them to have nocturnal emissions. But we are not responsible for them and it is only Hashem's way of testing us to see if it will get us to feel "down". Just ignore it and keep up your wonderful progress. Hashem is very proud of you.

PLEASE HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

A powerful 10 minute drasha on Teshuvah Me'Ahava that we brought in Chizuk e-mail #1069 from Rav Avraham Shcorr Shlit"a, can be downloaded over here (right click and choose "Save Target/Link As").

As someone posted you in the "Welcoming post", sign up to our daily chizuk e-mails, post a lot on the forum, read our handbook, join the phone conferences, etc... There is so much you can do to make sure you get on a path or recovery so that this doesn't happen again.

Use the TaPHSiC method to make yourself gedarim so you don't even get close to falling in the future.

Hashem is with you!
Hi and welcome to GYE...

I'm not sure I understand the technical terms, but if I understand correctly, you're suggesting we develop our own filtering system at the server level. This would be a huge undertaking and I don't see any reason to reinvent the wheel when we already have huge frum companies like theJnet.com and koshernet.com in the U.S - and Rimon (www.neto.net.il) and nettzach.com in Israel...

But you sound like someone who knows a lot about filtering. Maybe you can join our filter team? They help people with installing filters, save the password for them, research all the best solutions available out there, etc...

Please be in touch with filter.tzvi@gmail.com and filter.gye@gmail.com and see if you can help our team help Klal Yisrael!

Thank you and Tizke Lemitzvos!
Mazal Tov!

Tizke Legadlo leTorah, LeChupah U'lemaasim Tovim!

May your son be a continuation of the beautiful zemmiros to Hashem that you are making with your journey to purity!

P.S. If you're in Israel, I would be honored to be sandek  :D
This topic has been moved to the "Balabatim's Board" for married men. And I gave "holistic" access to that section, since he is obviously married  ;D
Which is the lucky forum that got you?

Reb Zev, I am sorry that there was a misunderstanding regarding another user who kept finding creative ways to bash the 12-Step program. I made a mistake thinking he was you. But once I realized my mistake, I also realized what a tremendous source of chizuk you can be to our website. Having broken free of this addiction with a lot of pain and hard work, you must have learned a lot - and grown tremendously. I feel bad that you want to leave, and I am a little confused as to why you think your posts are not relevant or beneficial for the users of this site. The 12-Steps is not for everyone, and your chizuk and guidance can help many yidden learn to follow your path. If anything, I should delete MY posts, which questioned your sincerity. I truly apologize, and I ask you to reconsider staying on and giving chizuk, advice and guidance to the precious yidden of our forum. Having 17 years of cleanliness through hard work, you are a GIANT to us here on GYE. Please don't leave.

a last thought....this one is for the lawyers and law students out there...in first year law school we are taught that a federal court sitting on a case that is before them only because the parties are from different states must apply the substantive law of the state...the rule is: state law for substantive matters, federal law for procedural matters...(whether a document is admissible: federal law; whether a person is liable: state law)...i think the same can be said for judaism....if AA and the 12 steps are just procedural; i.e., a procedure to get you to become a more spiritual/religious jew then they can be used just as we use other procedural-type methods of the goyim such as cantiallation, torah perakim and synagogue structure...if, however, SA and the 12 steps are substantive then a jew would be inclined to stay away...

Interestingly put... So I assume you're saying the steps are just procedural?
UAJ, precious! :D
