I just printed out and started reading the Guard Your Eyes Atitude.
Amazing!
www.guardureyes.com/GUE/PDFs/eBooks/GuardYourEyes%20Attitude.pdf
I'm very impressed Guard. And I'm sorry I didn't get around to reading it earlier.

I just saw something that is written that inspired me to discuss the following.

Hashem does not expect all of us to never masturbate again.
There,I said it.
Hashem does not expect all of us to never be depressed again.

There is something called the "Nekudas Habechira".
Everyone has a certain point at which their decision of bechira takes place.
For one person,it might be to not masturbate.
For another,it might be to not have sex with a married woman.
One person might struggle to not murder people.
Another will struggle not to be mean to people.

We must know where we are holding.

You ask:
But Uri,what about the Torah and Halacha?!
The answer is simple but profound:
Hashem does not expect from us that which we cannot do.

Remember that always,my friends.
Hashem did not need me to daven mincha today with a minyan.
I was not in that place and it would've been nearly impossible.
So I went to my room and davened there biyichidus.
And that was as good as other people going to minyan.
Me learning one hour might be equal to 12 hours for someone else.

Another example:
"Vesamachta Bechagecha"
Let's say you have a guy who is manically depressed.Like mamesh always down in the dumps.
And you're gonna tell this guy to just be happy???
His mitzva is maybe to look up to Shamayim and say:
"Hashem!I so want to be happy!"
And he was just mekayaim "Vesamachta Bechagecha"

Hashem does not desire results.
Hashem desires the heart.

The ratzon.

I can go on and on for hours about this, but I'm gonna eat dinner now.

The thread is officially open for disagreement or agreement.

I love you all
But not as much as Hashem does.
Imagine a mother who is rachmana litzlan seperated from her beloved child for years.
Imagine that beautiful emotion-packed moment when they finally meet again.
Imagine that love that mother feels as she clutches her son in a tear-filled hug.
She never wants to let go.

Hashem loves us more than that.

Doesn't matter what we do.
He pashut refuses to let go.
Let us give Him our hearts, friends.
1 hour
5 hours
24 hours
Makes no difference to Him in the slightest.
"Echad hamarbeh veechad hamamit, oovilvad sheychavai libo lashamayim"
"Whether or not or little(makes no difference),and as long as your heart is in the right place."

Gevaldig!

And what's with all this talk I hear people saying about
"It's never enough. You always got to do more. It's never enough."

What utter garbage!!!!!!!
Is Hashem some perfectionist demanding never satisfied meany?????
What a Chillul Hashem that statement is.

What they mean is that we always have to be improving.
No one argues with that.
But to say that someone could come along and feel all the lust in the world pushing him to his computer, and he says no.....
You think Hashem isn't singing with joy?!?

Yuck!
The things people say  >

Every moment has it's own nisayon and many of us pass many of them beautifully.
And Hashem is 100% satisfied.
And that's all that matters.
Not what some random person says.

:o
Uri,
Your touching on major points, and kutan is not a player here.

But one thing I definitely agree... learned from experience... that it does not matter WHO is speaking, and HOW chushuv he is, not everything he says in a public speech applies to me.

there.

That means even my most beloved Rebbe.

If we are talking one on one, thats a different story. I'd better make my matzav clear, and if not, its my fault.

But things people say in public are for the public. I'm private. It may be what I need, and it may be the opposite.

Which just means, of course, that without a personal Rebbe, one is pretty much like a ship in stormy waters.

Oh, and Uri, remember that last post of Yechida's?

I can't quite say it the way he does, so I'm gonna just ditto it.

and I am telling you the absolute

I have never met or seen a neshomah like yourself.

It's an honor to let us hear your voice

I'd like to share 2 things I know Uri and the rest of the guys will like,
THe tzemach Tzedek writes concerning the Cantonists(forced conscripts to the russian army from age 10- to 35) how come Hashem can force them to be in a position that they can't do all the mitzvas etc!
The answer given was that Hashem has a special immense pleasure from the few mitvos they were able to do with mesiras nefesh!
As well there was a story of a known baal aveirah who liked coming to a certain tish hisvaadus farbrengen etc...
Once the chassidem there made him feel unwanted since they felt weidred out with him sitting at there table, and he left.
When the Rebbe heard of this he was extremely upset, and he said we cannot imagine the intense pleasure the ribono shel olam has at each second when he is not sinning!
Tomorrow will be a better day, just don't keep saying that every time you wake up!
