I went around town on chol hamoed and distributed a couple of hundred flyers to different shuls, where I could get afterhours access (didn't feel like wearing a paper bag on my head).
Also, I sent out an email from the Handbook to my Jewish contacts.
Hope it counts as support for Gye.

It sure does!!
Yoni,

Imagine the president of the U.S was visiting China, and he came to the town you were in, and you came to watch his entourage passing through with thousands of others, and suddenly they stopped in front of you, and he came out of the car and wanted to be with you - since you were the only American in the whole area there... And he starts walking with you... and he asks if can carry his briefcase...

The crowd starts to cheer as you take it from him... all the media have their lenses on you... you've never felt so special in your life...

But the breifcase is heavy. And your arm starts to hurt a bit. And you're thirsty... And it's a tiring walk to your place...

So you say to the president, (to quote someone) "seriously, why bother?  i'm just so fed up with all this", and you throw down the heavy suitcase and stomp off.

Right.

Well that's really how it is now... Only it's not the president. It's the Almighty G-d who created the entire heaven and Earth. And he wants to be with YOU more than any of the millions of people in China because he gave YOU His Torah and you are keeping it with real messiras nefesh. And yes, it's heavy... it's hard... it's a long walk... But you are WALKING WITH THE KING OF KINGS and holding HIS BAGGAGE!!

;D ;D So break out in a BIG SMILE and do a little dance. You have given up so much for the King. And He is so proud of you! And you are SO UNIQUE in G-d forsaken China that when He looks down at that Huge country each day, his focus falls on YOU!
What an amazing story!

What worked for him is similar to the TaPHSiC method we have on our site: www.guardyoureyes.org/?p=2451

When the Yezter Hara realizes it's just not worth it, he leaves us alone.

This can work even for addicts in many cases (but perhaps not for high-level addicts).
Ashrecha Rashke!
BT, you have some good points... And the article about Rav Tzadok may all be true... But posting it here on this forum is too dangerous, and let me explain why. Most of the guys here are not struggling with "normal" masturbation issues like most teenagers. If they were, the article would perhaps be a chizuk to them. They are struggling with a damaging addiction that is ruining their lives. And they need to understand that breaking free is in their own best interest, not because it's assur, but because it is taking their lives over and distancing them from the real world, from their wives, kids, jobs and Hashem.... If they read this article and start to pat themselves on the back that it's normal and not such a big deal - they may not take the difficult steps neccecary to break free. They may be distracted from the real dangers inherent in their obsession.

So this article may indeed be a life-saver for some people within a certain context, and Rav Wolbe indeed says very similar things as well - to teens and mechanchim... but it is too risky to place it here on GYE.

I hope you understand.

Fine we are all with you. Especially in tech support. As as your tech support team, I can say that it is unlikely that you will find a filter for symbian

I didn't know you were our tech support team  ;D

But it sure sounds like you know a lot... We'd be happy to have you on-board as one of our "techies"... If you'd like to help, contact filter.tzvi@guardyoureyes.org and ask him if you can join our team...
There's two problems with suicide.
1) It's the only aveirah in the Torah that Teshuvah can't fix.
2) It doesn't solve all your problems, because the REAL problems only begin afterwards.
This topic has been moved to the Balabatim's Forum for married men.
We are looking for a good Yiddish translator/writer.

R' Yiztchak Elazar Moskowitz (who is a big supporter of GYE) suggested that there's a good writer in Monsey by the name of Naftali Rottenberg.
Does anyone in Monsey know his contact info?
