Someone sent me this teffilah from the Talmud Yerushalmi:

aleph or alef should both work.

But I enabled you... Try logging in to the chat.

Anyhow, I am looking for members who would be willing to provide me with a (warm and welcoming) support system. The general intention is for offline, or at very least gmail-chat (untill the GYE chat is running).

See www.guardyoureyes.org/forum/index.php?topic=4780.0
GOOD NEWS! The long-awaited GYE chatrooms should be functional!

If you want to help us test it and give us feedback, here's what you need to do:

1) Go to: guardyoureyes.com

2) Click on Tools > Chatrooms

3) If you're an old timer on the forum (about 6 months ago), log in with your username and password. If not, click register and make a new username and password.

4) Once your registered, we will have to verify you for chatting. Since chatting is more intimate than posting, we have to be extra careful about gender separation. To use chat, you need to have a separate verification. Send us an e-mail to gye.help@gmail.com with your username and if we know that you are male, we'll give you access.

5) Once we verify you for chat, you will be able to use it with anyone else who is online.

There is both public chat and private. Public chat can be seen by anyone online. Private chat is one-on-one chatting between members.

There are even special chat-room groups, for example "Married Men". If you are married, you will be given access to this group and can chat with other members in this group about marriage issues.

NOTE: To chat with someone privately, just click on their name in the public chat window and a new private chat window will open.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Simple steps to have GYE chatrooms running as a separate application.

1. Download the latest Google Chrome browser.

2. Go to the chatrooms and log-in.

3. Go to Settings (the wrench on the top right) -> Tools -> Create Application Shortcuts.

4. Make shortcuts on your desktop, start-menu, etc...

5. Just click on the shortcut when you want to chat (even if you usually use another browser for your surfing).

Shavuah for a month that if I look at the __________ website without an adult in the room with me, and I didn't first go for a ten minute walk, I will  donate $300 to GYE. If I look at it without an adult in the room within an hour of taking a 10 minute walk, I will only have to donate $30 to GYE.

... and if I make it through the month, I will donate $90 to GYE  ;D.
Sorry, shameless plug for more $$$ to GYE  :-[.

More money for GYE means more advertising, more development, and many more Yidden saved.

I just thought it made sense that if a person has a fall, their knas should go to helping other Yidden in the same matzav. This way, midah kineged midah, the zechus will give you siyata dishmaya to do better next time!

So yes, it is "shameless". I feel no shame in encouraging everyone to donate to GYE. (But if you want, just substitute "fasting" or anything else for the "knas".)
Thank you everyone!

In most cases, the 12-Steps will only work if you follow the following 4 conditions:
1) You have to give up and realize you can't do it with your own power.
2) You need the power of the group. It needs to be worked with a group
3) You need a sponsor to talk to and guide you through the steps.
4) You need to be ready to pick up the phone and call someone when you feel weak. BEFORE you fall.

If you commit to these 4 things, the 12-Steps have a much higher success rate than 5%. More like 70%.

By joining one of GYE's daily 12-Step phone conferences, you can fulfill these 4 things. But you need to make recovery your #1 priority. Don't miss the calls for anything!
Thank you everyone!

So here's the cheshbon:
$375 from heuni memass.
$228 from someone else (who wrote me by e-mail)
$20 - gibbor
$36 - zemmy
$20- obormottel
$50 - kedusha
------------------
$729

We'll take care of the rest  ;D
