This thread is an amazing compilation of quotes from Dov! Yasher Koach to Gibor and all other contributors!

I need someone who is a good editor and who appreciates and understands Dov's writings, to help us compile a book. Any volunteers?

You can find much more of Dov's writings in the following two places:
1) Menu Bar > Articles > 12-Steps > Daily Dose of Dov
2) Menu Bar > Articles > Q&A > Dov Answers

We're working on fixing the new chat issues. Sorry
Markz wrote on 07 Jul 2016 14:39:
1) When the device is turned sideways (from portrait to landscape) the chat jumps to the 20th last message, and doesn't remain on the last message

2) A mobile user who is online on gye cannot see the chat, and should not show on the chat page that he is on the chat, unless he's actually on the specific Chat page

Our devs wrote that they fixed these issues. Here is what they wrote: Can someone test and let me know if it's fixed?

1) I've written code in javascript, which detect event, when orientation of device is changed. And this code changes position of the page(shows bottom part)
2) I've researched, how does this feature work, and written a condition, if user uses mobile, but he is not on chat pages, requests to server shouldn't be sent

Chat issues:

Recent chats are not being saved in the chat history.

Our devs claim this was fixed. Please confirm.

I can open the chat in the browser on my phone, it only freezes occasionally. The public chat works OK, in the private chat I can see what people write to me but whatever I write never gets sent.

Also I notice that the usernames in the public chat thread are no longer clickable.

Our devs claim they can't reproduce these two issues. They wrote: We have tested points 2 and 3 on iPhone 5s and Samsung GT-I9300 and could not reproduce it. Could you provide us with device information, IOS version and browser on which those issues appeared?
i didn't not drinky, i'm fine (hic) no tisch please, only pidyonos (hic)

Testing reply without logging in anew

I was notified after submitting a post that I need to login again from my iPhone

You mean you lost the post? Why did it ask you to log in again? Perhaps the session lifetime expired. I think it used to be 15 minutes, I asked them to increase it now to 30 min. (They claim they don't want to increase it more for security reasons). But does this happen often?

I have experienced that in the past.

Whats about having drafts?
Sometimes we are holding in middle of writing a long post and woops we have to close the window and we loose everything.
something similar to that we have in Gmail.

When you say you have to close the window, do you mean cuz the wife or boss walked in? If so, why not just switch tabs instead (and start whistling and looking at the ceiling, of course)?

**OBSOLETE POSTS**

Many times a thought out well written submitted post results with a blank page and all the writing was lost

Maybe it's because the post wasn't really so thought out and well written.

Can you test with a really, really thought out and well written post please?
When anxiety, depression, financial stress, etc, are big factors in the addiction, the 12-Step program can change your life.

If you feel helpless and ready to do whatever it takes, send me an email to gye.help@gmail.com and I will give you the personal phone number of Dov who is clean in SA for 19 years. A good talk with him can set you on the right path.

The 12-Steps were developed back in the 1930’s by a group of alcoholics. These people had tried everything in the world, and yet they could not stop their addiction to alcohol even though it was completely destroying their lives. Somehow, Hashem opened their eyes to a simple spiritual program of 12-Steps that began helping even the worst cases to recover. The success of this program slowly spread, and today there are thousands of 12-Step groups throughout the world for every type of addiction, whether it’s alcohol, gambling, over-eating, narcotics, or sexual addiction. This simple program has helped millions of people to recover from even the strongest cases of addiction. The 12-Steps work best when worked together as a group, and with a sponsor.

Click here to listen to a four part workshop on the 12-Steps from Daniel-UK, that will give you a great overview of how the program works and how it can change your life.

Click here to listen to a twelve part workshop on the 12-Steps from Dov (who is sober in SA for 18+ years) to understand how to make the 12-Step program work for you.

On mobile, the bottom right circle with the question mark is really annoying because it gets in the way of typing.

I see what you mean
