I forget SO often how SO special it is that I have a relationship with my wife that can include this kind of communication. We had one of those conversations just last night, where I forget that so many wives would cry themselves to sleep or walk out or whatever... but mine says "that's really a beautiful thought; thanks for sharing your thoughts; aren't we both so much older and wiser than when we met."

I think that your finding the way (or, perhaps, G-d finding that way for you...) to bring your wife into this loop is going to bring you to very very good things.

Even so, I would recommend you show her just how grateful you are... that she's such a good listener and loving wife and secure woman and all that. A present? A love note? A home-cooked dinner (with  the cleanup!!)? You'll know. But now is NOT the time to take her for granted.

Just one man's opinion, of course, but even so it's advice from a man with a whole closet full of t-shirts from when I went there, did that, and ....

Pray that she should know how much you treasure her, and treasure her understanding.

A wife is not only a kinegdo; she is an eizer too!

Zacha naaseh lo Eizer was niskayem in your case. You worked hard to reach a state of Zachah!

just told the wife of my struggles. Baruch Hashem a thousand times over she is very supportive and understanding. gives me a whole new appreciation of her. i think i did it in a brash way and could have done better with some advice and planning but it sort of happened on its own and it is over and done.

You did it how Hashem had you do it--imperfectly.

I'm happy for you both.

Reb Yosef, that was a great way to be maaleh the inyan of snowmobiling to a higher level.

Briut, i hear you loud and clear about showing the appreciation. i am very lucky and i have told her so and will continue to do so and no matter how many times i do it another time will always be great. no matter the situation it is always a good thing to do. thanks for the reminder.

1daat, that is a great point. being imperfect is not as bad as it's made to be. i am very happy i told her and she is being beyond good about it. i have to pinch myself to make sure it's real. baruch hashem. and baruch the wife. and baruch GYE. and baruch all of you. you guys are special and great.
thanks everyone!

so why don't you open Bardichev Ski Resort? you would be the only show in Kentucky. if anyone shows up and doesn't know how to ski just give them a drink or two and they'll be teaching you how to ski...

world,
i actually never witnessed a snowball fight on an online forum. i am awed.
it is also great that i don't have to put my gloves in the microwave when it's done.

just remember that in the snowball fight sometimes you have to duck, and that might give you ideas, but we cannot feed the ducks.

Just to report:  I looked up "scion" and it said, "A square boxy car", and referred me to somebody named Bard on a website called GYE.  I looked this guy up and I get some Yiddish cryptic stuff about "Ski-en"on a guy named Zemmy's thread. So is that it?  A boxy Yiddish car?
