@sleepy, lol too many quotes are said in the name of Einstein and mark twain, so ppl should be suspicious and confirm before formal attribution to these two. I did some googling before adding the quote to my signature and found that the quote is found in material from NA, not Einstein. Kind of apropos, though, right? 

Hi all, going strong BH. Had a nice victory on Friday. My wife had to temporarily disable the filter and she forgot to reenable it. I noticed that I had a clear path to bad stuff  when I was using the computer but managed to stay well clear of trouble. 

One can only imagine the nachas Hashem has from such an incident! At the same time, let's plan on how to deal with that situation that to the best of our ability we should not have the nisayon. Can you be mekabel to tell your wife the filter was not turned back on?

Day 14 is in the books! level 4 reached, on to day 15. Thanks everyone so much for all of your comments in my Thread. Your encouragement and suggestions have been making a huge difference. 

Slipped into the podcast trap yesterday. (“It’s only a podcast and there’s no pictures and it’s not such a bad podcast anyway. Yada yada etc “) Apple restrictions filter out almost all bad podcasts on iPhone but a few ones that aren’t so kosher slip through. Not the end of the world in the scope of things, but gotta steer back into the right lane. We all know where this ends if I don’t. last night ended with a big binge....of junk food from the pantry. This time. But If you give a mouse a cookie...

Is there somebody who can please explain the whole “needing a higher power” thing in recovery? I don’t get it. Don’t we have free will to make our own choices and kick the habit ourselves? there have been atheists who have quit porn, so I’m a little confused on this whole idea. Please share your thoughts many thanks

I've had some setbacks recently. Still out of work unfortunately, and spending lots of time on computer with lots of stress and anxiety isn't a good combo.

BUT, Got a new laptop and installed webchaver (with a friend, not with my wife, who doesn't know about the whole parsha)+ filtering so hopefully God will see that I'm trying and he'll give me a boost. I gotta get some solid momentum here. Optimistic for the future. The fight continues.

now that I can post from a computer I'll try to post more often. Stay strong and thanks in advance for the continued chizuk and comments on my thread. They help a lot
