I find that I am able to make a decision to not do something for a given amount of time very helpful. And of course posting it here even helps more. For example this Rosh Choddesh I continued a nedar to give $250.00 for each time I use a phone or computer for viewing anything improper in one sitting til next RC. Point being that the interval for me is the trick or I couldnt do it at all.
I have this other thought ... to give my Rov a sealed envelope with the details of my nedar included within. And of course obtaining a copy for myself. That way I can't change the rules on my own or in my head because I know than I would then be being dishonest with a person. It adds another level of accoutability without someone even knowing about it.What do you think?

KUTGW!

I don't think i would have a problem changing it if it were in a sealed envelope, but if you think it would work for you then go for it.I can't really see how it can hurt.
