A few guys have asked me why I don't believe in the Karma thing. I am not telling anybody what to do, just sharing my take on the matter. The way I see it karma is like a value system, how much do we value you. For if it were just a system of agreeing, for that there's the thank you button. If they don't agree, they can respectfully argue. That's why the thread goes on and on:) So what's the karma about? For somebody to express how much value they think the other guy's opinion has. And that I don't understand. 
Yes, listen to what other people say, they may have something to offer. We have what to learn. So read what people respond to your posts. But that they should rate you, and give you a value, that ain't for anybody to do. Definitely not on an anonymous forum where they don't know the real you. Listen to words, not to people's rating of you
Besides for the fact that people add and subtract points based on whatever funny criteria they might decide, which is mamash מהיכי תיתי
P.s. for me it is more than enough of a good feeling knowing that Cordnoy comments on my words from time to time. That tells me I'm good:)

Anyway, I always love shmoozing, so go ahead!

I wrote recently about how I was so amazed at the oilam here, with my inspiration at the moment being Yitz23. And then Grant asked me to put my streak on display, which old, not-tech savvy me couldn't figure out. And the moderators were so nice and helped me out. But when I was trying to put it up I discovered a whole part of GYE I didn't know existed. I went to the wall of honor, as GSBY advised. And I see so many names, with really long clean streaks, and I didn't recognize any of these names. That means that in the last few months, at least, these people did not post. 
I always knew that the majority of people that come on here don't post, and I thought those people are not really getting better. Now I learned that there is whole huge group of people here, the silent majority, that are SHTEIGING AWAY LIKE IT'S NOBODY'S BUSINESS!!!
Iearning that was gevaldig to me. And maybe to you, too:)

My impetus to start posting and join on was one of those heroes. I saw a long streak and a decided to read the fellow's thread.
Decided I can try to be like him , and so here I am.
Only about 860 days to go ! 
But I am happy to be on this voyage!
