in my humble o i think you already are half way there as you have the DESIRE and WILL to change your ways. now all you need is
a) encouragements and support, you got that here and you should call into some of the groups, duvid chaims is a great one and people leave their tel # and you can call one of the chevrah and get chizuk.
b) some tools, you also got that here, such as dowloading the shmiras eynayim clips to listen to they really help and I put them on my mp 3 player and listen when i go back and forth from work on the bus, keeps me focused and holy and my eyes are on the holy ground...

I have some others links i can share if you ask but the main point is you say you are serious, well you took the step to join gye, now you need to go further. I found listening instead of silly radio or songs I listen to Torah all the time, it keeps my mind busy and fills it with holy purpose. let me know i will send you links, it works for me. I am around 75 days since i joined GYE and looking forward to 90 days and beyond !!! One day at a time...

WELCOME! It makes no difference what the particular fetish is, recovery is the same. Read the handbook, read posts here, and post yourself as well. Acting out is a "solution" to a "living" problem. We all need to solve our "living" problem in a healthy way, and our acting out problem (and associated fetishes) will disappear by itself.

while I and others have said the same thing before, after a recent session with a specialist, I am not entirely convinced. There are many fetishes, and perhaps even all, that are regarded as bein' in the realm of normal behavior. Perhaps even actin' out. But what many of us are here for is because the problem/solution has become unmanageable by itself. Now, we might need to focus on what is the problem/solution? I would agree with you that 'lust' is the answer. And like you said, we need to learn to live with it in a healthy way. it might just be that upon recovery, we can learn to live with that particular fetish in a healthy way as well.

Now, that probably should not be our focus or goal, for if it would be, we probably would not recover. What i am sayin', and perhaps you were as well, is that our focus should be on livin' healthy in a manner that lust is not in the forefront? Will our fetish go away? Maybe yes; maybe no.

Does that make sense?

Perhaps I misspoke. The desire for the fetish may never go away, just as the desire to act out may never go away. All I meant was, that the fetish is not the problem per se. It's just the particular form the lust takes.

Just Found this forum and I relate to this a lot, and i also struggle with this, if anyone else has this struggle please PM me, would love to get some advice as well.
