Well Mom had beach day yesterday even thou she needed to prepare for a lot of shabbos guest that her daughter was bringing over. (I wonder which daughter that is.)

So I'm assuming she's just busy preparing for shabbos & knew that if she went to GYE for just one second she would be stuck here till the Zmaan so she chose not to.

That's just my Logical Assumption.
