Hi. I'm very impressed with your eagerness and willingness to help

others, which is also a great tikun.

I just took down your new sign again, and since there was a note

asking not to take it down, I'll try to explain a drop.

Even though the original sign also made me wonder wether it shoulfd be

hanging in yeshiva, עי' יומא פ"ו: ושעה"צ סי' תר"ז סק"ג, I didn't want

to take achrayus of maybe holding back help from somone, and stuck to

שב ואל תעשה.

But a sign stating that 40 bnei yeshiva called for help definitely

shouldn't be hanging for various reasons, one of them being chilul

hashem (even if no one sends it to the whole world via social media as

often happens with signs in yeshiva), and other reasons as well.

I love how even the sign-rippers in BMG have mareh mekomos. 

Tell him he's a chasid shotah who's going to a special place in gehinom. Ask him why it's a chillul hashem to mention people reaching out for help, but not a chillul hashem when those same guys were on their knees in their bathroom worshipping a (non-jewish!) porn star. Explain to him that he's very similar to the people hanging their idols on the back of the door, and his denial of the facts would be cute if it wasn't so pathetic. 

Sigh. There's a special type of idiot in the world. And I can respect that he emailed you. So having to give a serious response. Explain to him the pain of someone suffering from lust addiction. Point him to the statistics. And then tell him that you cannot be mochel him if he deterred anyone from getting help and the only hope for teshuva he has is to take over the sign hanging job. 

Sounds like a really nice guy that needs his head checked. Maybe I'm nuts, but to me this is craziness. Here is a sign that has helped 40 people somewhat, it's working, and you decided it's chilul Hashem, so you took it down?! Which world do you live in anyway? Have you asked a rav? Whom are we kidding? The 40 that called are from the few gibborim, while the others...Again,maybe I'm wrong. But this made my blood boil

Tell him to look at the רמב"ם for what a חילול השם is. Ask him if all the עבירות שבסתר that the fellows commit because of his taking down the sign constitute חילול השם and if he's taking אחריות for it...

I don't begin to understand! What did you write? That 40 heilige Yidden reached out to serve Hashem better. There is absolutely no chilul hashem in asking  for help.  The fact that this is a struggle is not some thing that we created.  Apparently the person who emailed you does not understand how widespread this struggle is. certainly it would not be a good idea to write anything explicit, but that is not the case here.  

I would say keep doing what you are doing and don’t be offended that people have different views.

I very much agree with redfaced's style answer. Is he willing to take responsibility for the continued struggles, failures, marriages ending, and all the fallout from that from anyone who would've been helped who now isn't. And if he isn't, what is his alternative? Doing nothing isn't the answer, but maybe he has ideas. 

I also agree with cande, that throwing mareh mekomos back at him ain't gonna work...והמבין כבר הבין...
