The article below, from Matzav.com, asks Klal Yisrael to Daven for the Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Aharon Feldman, Shlita, who is undergoing surgery today following a car accident on November 6.

We at GYE should have tremendous Hakaras Hatov to the Rosh Yeshiva, who was the one who helped put Guard Your Eyes on the map with his groundbreaking Haskama in January 2010 (which eventually led to GYE receiving numerous other Haskamos). The Rosh Yeshiva met with Guard in Baltimore in May 2010, introduced GYE (via Skype) to five other Gedolim at a Torah Umesorah meeting in the Catskills in July 2010 (as a result of this meeting, Torah Umesorah subsequently wrote a letter to Mechanchim on behalf of GYE that was sent nationwide, and the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah wrote a groundbreaking letter regarding internet use in January 2011), spoke at the first GYE parlor meeting in Brooklyn in August 2010, and subsequently agreed to head the Rabbinical Board of GYE.

Besides for the Hakaras Hatov we should have for the Rosh Yeshiva, we at GYE, as well as the rest of Klal Yisrael, need the Rosh Yeshiva's continued guidance, ad meah v'esrim shana. He should have a refuah sheleima b'soch sha'ar cholei Yisrael.

All are asked to say Tehillim as a zechus for Rav Aharon Feldman, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Ner Yisroel in Baltimore, Maryland, who will be undergoing surgery this morning.

As reported here on Matzav.com, Rav Feldman was in a car accident ten days ago, on November 6. His condition has since worsened, necessitating this morning’s surgery.

Rav Feldman, who has been Rosh Yeshiva at Ner Yisroel since 2001, is a member of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Agudas Yisroel of America. His father was Rav Yosef Feldman zt”l, who was the last rov to formally serve as chief rabbi of Baltimore. Rav Aharon was a close talmid of Rav Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman, founding rosh yeshiva of Ner Yisroel. Rav Feldman moved to Bnei Brak in his twenties and studied in the Kollel Chazon Ish under the Steipler Gaon and Rav Elazar Shach.

The name for Tehillim is Aharon ben Sheina Golda.

Latest Update from Ner Yisroel: We are pleased to report that the Rosh HaYeshiva HaRav Aharon Feldman Shlit”a was released from the hospital yesterday. He is now at an inpatient rehabilitation facility. The family asks that people refrain from trying to visit the Rosh HaYeshiva, to allow him to rest and regain his kochos.

Breaking Update: The Rosh Yeshiva, Shlita, arrived at Ner Yisroel tonight at about 6:35 P.M. (EST) to the greeting of an estimated 700+ talmidim, who escorted the Rosh Yeshiva to his home. Chasdei Hashem ki lo somnu!
