I lately started noticing that a lot of people here constantly post AI written content. They reply and answer and post and write using AI.

It feels fake and not genuine. It's missing the personality and vulnerability. Defeats the whole purpose of connection. 

Thoughts? (from the non-users)
If procrastination were a sport, I'd be the undisputed international champion!

I  hear you and I think it’s an important point to bring up.
This forum is built on realness, on people sharing from the heart. When posts start sounding like they were copy-pasted from ChatGPT , it can feel a little off. Like… where’s the struggle? The tears? The humor? The you?

At the same time, I also get why some people might lean on AI a bit. Not everyone finds it easy to put their thoughts into words, and if using a tool helps them start opening up, maybe that’s a step in the right direction. But the heart still has to come through.

Anyway, just my two cents.

Now the real question is…
Do you think this message was written by AI?

I think for a lot of people, AI isn’t writing for them, it’s more like a tool to help say what they already feel or think, just in a clearer way. They give AI their words and thoughts, and it creates a cogent post

Some people don't spell or know grammar well, or just get stuck trying to express themselves. Using AI would help them get their point across better, without changing the actual message.

(Just curious, do you think this post swas written by AI?)

It seems that we agree that if someone uses AI to generate posts and replies, that would be counterproductive but if they take their actual thoughts and ask AI to write it clearer and correctly, then - maybe it's beneficial... But generally I would say not to use it as a replacement for bringing out your real feelings and thoughts...

As a general rule, using AI probably won't give the user the connection pillar in the manner it is needed for healing. Our thought process and individual expression are important both so that we connect properly and so that our flaws can be corrected by others.
