I was invited to a Thanksgiving dinner but then disinvited coz my kids would make too much noise! Is that a good grouch?

You should have just dropped off a live turkey and left.

Shame. I just had a bunch of them on my front lawn, could’ve trapped them and helped out a fellow (wannabe) groucher. Nu. At least we have what to (possibly) grouch about.

Those turkeys on your front lawn were not your ordinary, happy-go-lucky, run-of-the-mill,  fress-away-life-until-you-end-up-on-a-cold-cut-platter-next-to-someone’s-cholent type of turkey. Oh no.

Those were no ordinary turkeys, my friend.

I’d lock my door and windows well tonight if I were you…

I actually have a friend who was convinced that these wandering turkeys were possessed by evil spirits. I saw where he was coming from, but always thought him slightly kooky for such conviction.

Who knew what I’d find out years later?…

And, to top it all off, my wife has fever, she thinks it might be the flu. And she’s taking on a bunch more clients this week.

AND ITS COLD IN MONSEY:angry:

Very cold. And I'm outdoors most of today!
I didn't believe I could be clean

I can attest to the validity of the grouchiness contained above. It is, indeed, flipping cold in Monsey.

Also windy, fyi.

Not sure why we're getting so excited about Monsey. It's just as cold in iwantlifeville.

Chanukah parties.

Which should we/must we/ have to/ attend?

Will the grandmother wet her pillow if I don't come?

How long will we stay for?

So, the baby has had a cold for the past few weeks, in addition to having a virus for most of last week, vomiting all food and bottles. It seemed to have gone away.
Friday afternoon (because when else?) he had a fever (102), went to the urgent care, and it turns out that he has an ear infection, as well as an eye infection.
After that, we discover that we’re having our two nephews for shabbos. (Their mother was sick.)
In the meantime, my wife got a bad cold Friday morning, which only got worse as the day went on.
To top it all off, the baby got his virus back.
