Are they actually splitting the tools? Oh lord. I doubt anyone has any idea if they are an addict when they come to GYE. And for one to pigeonhole himself into either box is not very helpful.

Bigger question is what is wrong with gye as it is?

If there's someone that needs calling out, why don't we do so today, as you'll have to do on the "Freshman" website regularly...

Problem number 1.

Some people say the wrong thing at the wrong time to the person seeking help.

Couldn't have said it better. There are some people which, (I know I can get into trouble for calling them that), are IMHO immature. They come on to the site, expecting someone to provide them a quick ready to use solution to get rid of IT. Half the times they cannot define what they mean by "IT".
They don't expect to walk in to a suit store and walk out 2 minutes later, with a custom made suit fitted to their size. However they somehow expect GYE to have the solution right away, so that they can continue on with their life. Perhaps even so that they can continue lusting... 
This is a life changing program and needs lots of work to even get started. You have to let thoughts settle in, before you even figure out what size suit you are. Afterwards you can start the modifications, and customizations. 
It personally took me 4 years of just lurking on the site without getting really involved to get to brutally know myself and what works for me.
At the most, I would recommend a disclaimer: "If you do not feel comfortable with any idea suggested to you, Please contact an experienced person (perhaps Dov) to discuss it through before implementing."
