A few things...

I feel very conflicted... I REALLY dislike this person... I hated him politically... and am happy that he WILL NOT be the mayor of New York.

However, make no mistake... he is all of us.... we are very lucky that this has not happened to us.

This is the ending for acting out, this is how the story ends...

let it serve as a stark message... there are no secrets, we are all fallible, and if we don't struggle to abstain from acting out... this can and does ruin lives

Let this be a reminder that social networking sites are blocked by any decent filter for a very good reason.

So true.  Ever since I started recovery, I understand so much better what I hear in the news.  The politicians, the local criminals.  I used to think they're just intoxicated by power, baalei gayva. (They're that too.)  But primarily, they're addicts.  Period.  Garden variety addicts acting out.

Alex - so true and  good point, when they say in the big book that all this leads to a very difficult fate, we see here exactly what this means.  but as we see from Spitzer, even after a huge fall, there is room to get back up. 

i've a very big nisayon to find out what the story here is. But, as part of my improvements, i try not to look at news online. Especially news of this kind, which usually will take me to other realated stories and sites. So, unless someone will post her a kosher version of the press release i will not know the details.

But, who cares, i will have another clean day and i have not a chance to ask from hoshem what i want because i'm overcoming this nisayon.

It has to do with improper communication via social networking sites.  As noted above, this should serve as a reminder just how dangerous these sites are.  (It's nice that Facebook CEO Zuckerberg is giving very large sums to charity, but I don't think it will save him from being held accountable for all the Tzaros Facebook has caused and continues to cause).
