Chevra:

Congratulations to all the Participants of the Big Book Study Group Lunch & Learn!!

We have made it thru the first week together.  I can barely believe that it's been Four Days on our Cruise.  On the one hand, it seems like it flew by.  And on the other hand, it feels like we've known each other for ever. I know it's the result of our sharing together and our mutual goal to grow together.  Collectively, we can solve much bigger problems than we can individually.

Please see this picture.  This occurred to me today as I sat down at an Israeli restaurant for a quaint private lunch with my wife.  We ordered a platter of humus, falafel and hardboiled eggs to share together.  As soon as this dish arrived, we both said in amazement "wow, can you believe it?!!"

Just take a look at the picture attached and notice that the hardboiled egg had two yolks inside!!  Have you ever seen anything like this before?

And then it occurred to my wife and me (yes, she looks for A&W moments, too) that this phenomenal egg was a gift from Hashem.  In fact, my wife and I have had our share of struggles, primarily financial right now and there is a lot of uncertainty.  And I've been praying to Hashem to show me a siman of what I should do.

As you know, in a few of our holidays, we use an egg to symbolize the continuity of life.  Even mourners are instructed to eat eggs to remind them that life moves on.

As I sat across from my Aishes Chia'el, I realized that as long as the two of us stay as close together in our own little shell we call "our life" then we will be safe and endure whatever it is that comes our way.  It doesn't even matter if we're in a lot of hot water.

And just like this phenomenal egg at our lunch table, from the outside, the observer only sees one egg; just like all other eggs.  But when it is prepared and opened up, you see that inside is an indivisible pair!  Just like my wife and me (Bli AynHara).

Gut Shabbos,
