Hi All,

I am currently using Covenant Eyes but it is way to easy to remove. Do you know of any similar too that would be much more difficult to remove on its own? I heard of GenTech but I can't find much on their website. I know this is not the ultimate solution but at least it could help at the beginning. Let me know and it would be great if you could share your experience in this matter. Thank you.

Techloq is great.

Tip - add someone else (or your wife, if married)  to the account so they get a notification when you unlock something, this will help to keeping you in the loop.

Techloq has websites that are blocked for everyone and can't be unblocked but for most websites they have a system of categories where you can adjust whether you want the category completely blocked, or that you need to put in the password to unblock a website, or that they aren't blocked at all. They can also block skin tone. It can be custom-tailored to fit your needs. For most technical issues they respond within a few hours. I think it is the preferred filter by TAG.

I have GenTech on my computer and on my phone and I recommend it. On my phone, I have the browser blocked and have to request apps to be allowed. On my computer, it is a regular filter. Settings cannot be adjusted from the phone or the computer. The customer needs to email GenTech customer service for changes to be made. Allowing certain websites or categories requires a phone call.

I check the Gentech but it is kind of expensive. Any other good solution more affordable?

Covenant Eyes is mainly a software that helps with accountability, not filtering. Even though that offer a filter, it's really weak and very low level.

For filters here's some suggestions:

  • For Windows: GenTech, Meshimer, Techloq, Netspark .

  • For Android: GenTech, Meshimer, Netspark.

  • For iPhone / iPad: GenTech, Meshimer.

  • For more assistance contact TAG at tag.org or https://projecttrust.net.

Do you know of other accountability software that would be more robust? Covenant eyes is very good but it is too easy to uninstall for the user

I want to explain to you that web chaver runs off of covenet eyes software and is virtually the same service with a new coat of paint and a cheaper price
I use it.
I have heard of an app called Turple which does the same thing but I haven't heard much about it not enough to recommend definitely check it out yourself...
Alternatively depending on what service you use maybe ccontinue using covenet eyes with another filter that locks down uninstallitons of covenet eyes.

GEN tech is good but like the others were saying u can call them 24/6 and ask them to allow twitter etc which gives you more or less full access (speaking from expeireince) i have MB smart with needs permission for every single website &app and doesn't let most things. (its a automated system) But if u want something "worse" (e.i twitter) u have to email tag which is only open until 5 pm (i get my triggers at night which means they will not Open anything potentially bad until the next day ) and its only $30/yr highly recommended

I used to have MB smart, but found it is too easy to bypass. I now have Gentech on my phone and Techloq on my computer and have found both to be amazing

I use MB Smart on my phone but everything is blocked as in playstore, browser, youtube etc... there is no way to bypass it, if you try to open you tube or the browser it just closes straight away. Can get annoying if banking apps don't work but tag can usually help over the phone.
