Hi guys! Long time I didn’t post.

I was BH. Doing great in my struggles, here and there some minor issues but mainly doing ok. 

Today I had a job in a house (which was empty, since nobody lives there yet) and the refrigerator was very updated and it had a screen on it. My mind started running “what’s that all about? How come the refrigerator in my house works perfectly fine without that screen?” So I started clicking and touching around and found out that this is a simple smartphone, tablet etc. but it wasn’t connected to the internet.

But the YH knows how to get this connected, he told me “look around in the house if you see the wifi modem and connect it” and I was hoping I shouldn’t find anything- which I didn’t. So he told me “your tablet has a hotspot so connect it through that” btw, my tablet is bh filtered VERY GOOD and I bh have no issues with it, on-top of that I have a webchaver which is a tremendous help. But I fell for him and connected that refrigerator screen to my tablet hotspot…. And the rest is history… I was looking at inappropriate things etc. and I lost the battle…(

so what’s the job of a refrigerator? To hold food cold. No? What’s that screen doing there? Now I discovered that it can cool off our Neshama unfortunately. But what I learned from this is that I gotta be very cautious and strong with my self and I can’t even trust a refrigerator…!

Clearly you missed the old saying if you have a fridge put food in it or at the very least slam the door on yourself while you got it whipped out for a fall it will at least in the short term make your life interesting.

Don’t let the fall bring you down, You wrote” I was”, try to think positive how about, “ I am doing great and had a fall”

The world we live in is clearly bonkers so nothing too crazy to see here. I think it’s important to realize that while protecting ourselves from access ,filters, etc,is a key aspect to staying clean .There needs to be some internal work on how we can overcome a challenge when something gets through.
(Many different wonderful methods the chevra here utilize and discuss)
Unfortunately there are always going to be various opportunities for accessing lust and acting out(even the gridge!), especially for someone like me who conditioned himself to it.

I'm sorry to hear about your fall, (did you hear about my fall??).

I must tell the people here who the threader is, I hope he’ll forgive me.

This is a person who when he needs to meet/talk to a female business associate he finds attractive, will call a friend to be on the phone while they converse to make sure he stays safe.

This is a person who when passing public high school dismissal and is trying very hard not to look at the passing teens, he’ll call a friend to support him.

@trying the best – you amaze me! You’re a Tzaddik. The YH is great on getting us his net but we cant let ourselves get dragged down from him – we gotta PLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

I’ll be very open with you that I am very busy and don’t have that much time anymore to check in here, so I didn’t hear about your fall so I just read it.

as a few of the BIG GUYS here said and I think I told it to you over the phone once. After climbing up so high and having a fall, the standing and climbing up again is not the same thing at all, it’s for example, you had 316 days so now it’s 316-1, tomorrow will be 316-2 and so on, I don’t look at it as today is number 1.

Three lessons to learn from a “smart” refrigerator in 2024: 
1. Keep it cool.
2. Keep the goods inside where they belong. 
3. Stay connected to a power Source, so nothing gets spoiled. 

ps. Some new models of “smart” refrigerators come with a built-in remote video camera that enables the owner to check up on what’s in the fridge, even when they’re not home.

And when you open the door for the thousandth time to see if something new appeared, you find out that your'e better off just keeping the door closed.....

With all the chizzuk we derive from each other it is just as important to get a real life reminder that for many of us this is a lifetime war with many battle fronts including those that we cannot even prepare for. BH I recently reached my one-year anniversary of being clean and it has definitely gotten easier, but in the back of my mind I know that the danger is still very real.

so true...! I also made it to the above 300 clean days but I always had this fear that I don't want this mistake to happen again thinking in back of the mind "but I am human so how WILL I always stay strong?" 

BUT LET'S NOT FALL DEEPER! WE'RE STRONG BECAUSE WE "STAND UP"!!

It seems a few great guys, really great heroes, fell lately, and another great guy wanted to know what's the point of working if eventually he'll fall. Some thoughts.
The YH doesn't retreat just because we sign up to GYE. He remains very active and dedicated, even trying to get us to delete our accounts. What does it mean if you fell after learning stuff here? It means you fell, nothing more and nothing less! No matter how long we'll be here there will be challenges until the day we give back our neshamos to the Holy One at 120. So, if you fell, the only part of your fall you should think about is what can be done in the future to prevent the fall. Be it filters, friends, posting, or some life skills that have to be learned. 

'One day at a time' is not just about focus. It's not just a trick to make it easier. It's the truth! Each day is a world unto itself! What does yesterday have to do with today?!  Remember, The whole streak thing is an incentive, but the truth is that every day clean is special beyond! A guy who went 20 days and now is up to 2, why would he feel that the 20 is gone???!!! So false!!!

So, dear friends, stand up, brush off the pants, and KEEP TRUCKING!
