These are  based on Torah I’ve heard from Rabbi Moshe Weinberger and Rabbi Ephraim Washchman, but these ideas are my mine. So any errors are my own. The Seforim hakoshim talk about how Hashem created the world to have a dira b’tachnim, a dwelling in the lower world. They also talk about how there are netzios, sparks in  things that are unholy, but when used for holy purposes the sparks go to the side of kedusha. Those of us who struggle with “creepy” “dark” “perverted” desires, thoughts, fetishes, etc… And then work on controlling our thoughts, eyes, and actions have brought Hashem to the tachnim shebtachnim the low of the lowest places. Similar those  of us who have been to dark websites, apps, places etc. and then work on stopping have brought the netzios out from really dark places. This is the avodah of the generations before moshiach… bringing Hashem to the lowest of the lows and bringing up the netzios from the farthest things from kedusha. This is not easy work and sometimes we slip, but as long as we are in the fight we are doing our generation’s work. Instead of feeling shame and down about our thoughts and the things we done, be proud we are doing our part to bring moshiach closer.
