Gentech filter fix 10 Jul 2022 21:57 #383149

Hi,
I have the gentech filter currently, and I'm generally quite happy with it, it's much better than the (paid) filter that I had in the past.
I have one issue with the filter, and I was wondering if someone could help me try patch a loophole, unfortunately it sounds like they can't do it themselves. I think it's somewhat trivial, I just need to prevent one app accessing one website, I just don't really know how to do that myself. I think it would be possible to do, even if I don't do it through my gentech filter
If you think you might know how, please let me know, and we can continue the discussion privately.
Thank you

Great going!

I can’t tell you specifically, but for me that I have limited websites open with the apple white-list, that’s seemed to work. Is that an option?

From my experience with Gentech, usually apps cannot be filtered once they are allowed.

My experience with Gentech is that they don’t allow or disallow apps. They put the basic settings on my phone. I have a friend that opens the store for apps when I need and websites which aren’t on my whole list can’t be accessed….

You have the standard free one for apple probably.. I pay for the full service on Android & Apple, so they do allow and disallow apps...it's a whole different filter.
