Hello dear Giborim and warriors of the Almoighty, blessed be He,

I had lately an idea and I would like to share it with you and see what you think about it.

We all know that we have To-Do-Commandments and Not-Do Commandments. On the Do-Do-Commandments we say Blessings before we do them e.g before putting on Tefillin we say "Baruch ata HaShem EloKeinu Melech haolam asher KIDSHANU beMitzvivotav wetzivanu l-haniach Tefillin".

Now on the Not-Do Commandments we do not say any Blessing by not doing them. I learned in Sefer ha-Tanya if you are about transgressing a Not-Do Commandment and you do not do it, it is like performing and Do-Commandment.

Now here is my idea: Everytime you want to look shmutz or look at a girl in the street with lust or think about  shmutz and you divert yourself and do not do it even for one moment, say your own invented "blessing" (be carefull not to pronounce Adnus), e.g "Baruch Ata HaShem (here you actually say HaShem and you can as many adjectives as  you want e.g haGibor, haNora, haKadosh etc. what your heart says to you) asher KIDSHANI (who sanctified me, add your full name here and think about that you are a Jew) bmitzwotecha (with your commandments) veziwani (and commanded me, again add your full name and think about that you are a Jew) al mitzvat lo taaseh "Lo Toturu Acharei Levavchem weAcharei Einechem asher sonim Achareichem (Posuk of 3 part of Shma).
Try to say this bracha with great Simcha (Just smile, if you smile the outward influences the innerworld) and wait 10 seconds and realise what you did right now. A real fight and you won it right now for one moment and it is the greatest pleasure before HaKodush Boruch Hu.

You probably recognized that I suggested to say this invented "Blessing" in the singular form in order to create a personal relationship with HKB"H (Blessings by Chazal are made in plural). I mean you can change this blessing as you like and how your heart feels doing it and bless HKDB"H right now with any Torah-lesson you know especially regarding our problem. And please do not say to me "Who are you to be like Chazal, such haughtiness, inventing Brachos and so on".  I am not doing anything just like that. I just suggesting and open to any form of discussion and advice. I mean this could help to create a relationship with HKB"H, because you would know this small deed by averting my eyes is sanctifying you and by smiling by it, you would realise how great it is to serve HKB"H. And this then also circumvents the spiral effect (where it is just damming up and then exploding).
