I started my struggle last year and Baruch Hashem I've been winning. I joined GYE for chizuk. But now I'm looking for guidance. Let me explain I have a friend who is struggling, and then he slipped- meaning he accidentally made it public. But then he became the yetzer hara, he's been trying pull other people in. What can I do as a friend to help him.

Hi Smile Now (and smile indeed)!!!

I Think this is the type of advice you should ask a rov or rosh yeshivah. What you could do is daven for him that doesn't even need advice or guidance.

But on the other hand it's great to hear that your strong in your own battle b"h.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Welcome winner! KUTGW

As for your buddy. Some questions. Do you think that your involvement may just trigger you and Ch"V drag you in? If so head for the hills my good man.If not- Is this person privy to your own struggles? Anyone who just touched the doors of a Beis Hamidrosh knows that what he is doing is choteh and mechateh es harabim. Serious Serious stuff!

Does he know of us in GYE? I need more info? In general though - I think it is best to talk to him alone and tell him that now that he let the cat out of the bag he has two choices. He can bring himself together with others down into the quicksand of misery or he could help himself
and others by telling anyone who heard of his tendency for smut that he is turning the page now
and stopping.
Let him know that in the future people will resent him in a major way or respect him depending on this decision.

Most people do not know that I struggled, I'm at the point of helping others. I know what it feels like to be in the dumps, I'm now on a mission to help others get out.

How would I go about introducing him to gye?

Welcome,

as it is, it is difficult to provide advice on this site - especially when the questions and situations are extremely vague.

Like what cordnoy said -when in vague territory it's hard to understand the situation and thus to advise.
You could tell him that GYE is a well-known organization that has helped so many - and what the H---- why not just go on and try it? It does not cost money. The site/forum etc is outstanding as you are well aware and it will probably draw him in. That is if he WANTS TO CHANGE.
