I think I'm coming to terms with the fact that I have to see a doctor or do something more substantial about this.I just have to figure out what is the best approach to take.
The one thing I'm not yet convinced about this whole forum thing is that I sort of feel the more time I spend dwelling on these things and the struggles I face the more they are on my mind. In some ways maybe I'm better off trying to avoid thinking about them as opposed to bringing them up on this forum.
But I do appreciate the help and concern.

Yes, this forum can be horrible and destructive for a guy with this problem. And so many of the guys who I know who have found successful recovery going to meetings with other recovering guys and taking real action steps to live differently - leave the forum! They come to see that writing about it all, thinking about "explaining" it all are often huge toxins. As you wrote so well: it just puts it all on the mind even more!

I'd suggest that what you wrote in the first paragraph above was a little mistaken: "I just have to figure out what is the best approach to take." No. Doing is what you may need. Pick something that you know is actually working for some real people - not just one or two yechidim - and do it. Thinking and figuring it all out is exactly what you and all of us have always done all these years....and here we are, sitting in it still...

Help is out there, and it always requires real action - not 'enlightenment'.
"Off the 18-wheeler and fine on this tricycle!", "I do not particularly care exactly which "lav" suicide is. I'm not interested in it for other reasons...and you are probably the same."
