found out on completely random website - don't remember which, had nothing to do with porn. Someone posted one of those spam replies to an article, which said something like "come and become holy at guardyoureyes.org" or something like that ;D

I found it just few days ago, while searching for advice on the matter of m*, I think, but its extremely fuzzy in my memory for some reason even though it was so recent. It was the first time that I did a search for such advice since about 2009 which is when the website probably wouldn't have popped up on the top of search results since it was just starting out, if I am not mistaken

Suffice to say for constructive advertising data purposes, that it wasn't easy to find for me personally without Hashem literally pushing me here. I think that some discrete but intriguing pamphlets that would be distributed in yeshivas would help immensely since whatever takes off there usually has a good chance of taking off everywhere else. A good example would be the see you-on-shabbos website, I saw an advertisement for it on a pamphlet somewhere around a yeshiva and checked it out but its something I would almost 100% guaranteed never have just stumbled upon by myself by chance.

In a very roundabout way (AKA hashgacha).  My wife got some Rebbetzin Twerski tapes.  I thought they were interesting so I looked for more "Twerski" stuff.  I found some MP3s of Rabbi Twerski online, and also found some of his articles on the GUE site.  As they say, the rest is history.

I had seen the ads for a while on VIN, Yeshivaworld etc. I had always assumed it was another filtering service like Yeshivanet or Jnet, at the time I was deep in the shmutz and not willing to give it up

Then just a couple of days after I had told my wife and committed to cleaning myself up, but still struggling alone, I was on a website that had posts making fun of "frum" things (I know i shouldn't be on sites like that, I try to do it less now). They had a post making fun of the GYE handbook, specifically the Taphsic "rubber band snapping" thing. There was a link to the actual handbook, I was curious so I clicked and started reading. The whole world changed for me....

I don't rememerber. It was way back when this place was still gue that I first heard of it. I signed up for the email at a email address I never used and basically forgot about it for about a year or maybe more.then I got back to it.

from brooklyn (what anonymity issues can i have with THAT). found it while looking for "good stuff" actually, i was tired of p**n and searched for lo sasuru, or something like that, then out of the blue i don't know exactly what happened, but i hit a button by mistake and some really bad stuff came up on the screen which promptly caused me to forget all of my good intentions, i refound it close to two weeks ago, for the life of me i can't remember how, and i'm now a proud gye addict.

I was at horrible rock-bottom and searched for "frum internet addiction"  untill i found the old guardureyes.com site.
